Agersø Skanse | 1808 Historisk Befæstning ved Omøsunds Indløb

Agersø Skanse, also known as Batteriet 1808, is a historic fortification built during the Great Britain War (1807-1814) to defend the entrance to Omøsund. This battery, together with similar batteries on Omø and Stigsnæs, was established in 1808 as part of Denmark's defense against the English fleet. Built under the supervision of Major Guldberg, Agersø Skanse served as a strategic defense during the Napoleonic Wars and is today a historical landmark.
