The Arboretum in Hørsholm is Denmark's largest collection of trees and shrubs with over 2000 species from all over the world. Established in 1936 as an extension of the Forest Botanical Garden in Charlottenlund, it functions as a living learning platform for teaching and research in botany and plant use at the University of Copenhagen. The Arboretum is open daily from 7:30 a.m. to sunset and offers unique nature experiences year-round. Visitors can enjoy free guided tours, seasonal photos and themed brochures while exploring the many species. Supported by the 15. Juni Foundation and the G.B. Hartmann Research Foundation, the Arboretum also offers research and dissemination projects, including DNA analyses of fungi and insects as well as the development of a special collection of Danish trees and shrubs. Located in Hørsholm, it is an ideal destination for nature lovers and professionals.
