Badestrande på Årø | Årø Veststrand & Børnevenlig Sydstrand

On Årø you will find two good bathing beaches. The most child-friendly beach with shallow water is on the southern part of the island, and the other in the lagoon near Årø harbour. There are good conditions for windsurfers along the beaches. Just follow this signpost. The landscape on Årø is generally flat or slightly undulating. Along the southern part of the coast there is a salt marsh and lagoon zone. Most of the island is cultivated or laid out for grazing, and the tree cover consists primarily of live fences along roads and fields.
