How big is Fejø? Fejø is an island in Småland waters north of Lolland with an area of 16 km². An inhabitant of the island is called a fairy batting. The island has two towns: Vesterby and Østerby. Fejø is a year-round community with 473 inhabitants in 2019 as well as its own school, daycare center, grocery store, church and doctor.
Where do you sail from to Fejø? The ferry to Fejø sails from Kragenæs Harbour. The trip takes 18 minutes, and the ferry sails approx. once an hour. It is not possible to book a place on the ferry to Fejø.
Can you sail from Femø to Fejø? At Lolland Færgefart you can buy a Tourist Ticket. The ticket is valid for one car or 5 bicycles and a maximum of 5 people for 7 days to all 3 islands: Askø, Fejø and Femø. This provides an opportunity to explore the beautiful islands and enjoy the beauty of the archipelago.
Why is it called Fejø? The earliest written mention of Fejø is from 1231, where the island is referred to in King Valdemar's land register as 'Fæø,' which can be translated as 'the island with cattle/cattle.'
