4.6Based on 7517 reviews on Google
Description:
Blåvandshuk Lighthouse, located at Denmark's westernmost point, stands majestically 18 meters above sea level on the Horns Bjerge. With 39 meters and 170 steps to the top and a lamp height of 55 meters above sea level, the lighthouse reveals an impressive view. To the north and east you look out over the area around Vejers Strand and Kallesmærsk Hede, while Blåvand and Blåvand Strand, adorned by artist Bill Woodrow's four mules, can be seen to the southeast. Beyond the sea you can see Horns Rev Windmill Park. While the Horns Reef exhibition is temporarily closed due to remodeling of the lighthouse keeper's residence, new exhibitions about Horns Reef and the Wadden Sea are expected to open during the spring. The lighthouse will remain open to visitors during the conversion of the lighthouse keeper's residence.
