Bov Kirke is a road church and open every day during the day. The road church concept, originally from Sweden and Norway, means that churches near major roads make a special effort to welcome travelers, especially in summer. Bov Kirke is open all year round, Monday to Friday from 09.00 to 16.00 or by appointment. The parish belongs to Aabenraa Provsti and was part of Lundtoft Herred in Aabenraa County. After the municipal reform in 1970, Bov Parish Municipality formed the core of Bov Municipality, which later became part of Aabenraa Municipality after the structural reform in 2007. In addition to Bov Church from the Middle Ages, there is also Kollund Church from 1971 in Bov Parish.
