The garden, laid out in 1948 and expanded in 2013 to 30 hectares, stretches from Helligkildevej to the west to Bybækken to the east. With a focus on the well-being of the animals and the safety of visitors, rules apply regarding the prohibition of food and feeding the animals as well as access for dogs.
