At Esbjerg Art Museum, the meaning is not only in the artwork; rather, it arises in the encounter between artwork and viewer. The art experience is not linked to a particular form of learning; it arises in the conversation between work and student. We ask questions and let the students form their own interpretations in an open dialogue. A museum visit with his class is a joy-filled event, where the students become active co-creators of their own experiences. We offer tours, workshops and development projects based on current special exhibitions and different grade levels. We use the experiences from these projects in our daily collaboration with schools and daycare facilities.
