Grundtvigs Mindestuer | N.F.S. Grundtvigs Hjem & Historie i Udby
Description:
Udby's vicarage, one of the best preserved vicarages from the 17th century, was home to N.F.S. Grundtvig in his childhood and again in 1811-13 as chaplain. In the Memorial Rooms, where the young Grundtvig wrote several of his early works, you will find portraits, furniture, books and notes from his life. The information room offers insight into Grundtvig's life and his works, including his early book publications and mass hail from Vartov Church. The vicarage was renovated in 2009 with support from the Nordea Foundation and the Ministry of Education, and it appears today as a cultural-historical monument of Grundtvig's importance. IS OPEN for groups all year round by appointment.
