Welcome to Himmelsøen, a natural paradise at Darup gravel pit in Roskilde. This freshwater lake, which stretches over approximately 22 hectares, is a former gravel pit, now transformed into an attractive excursion destination by Roskilde Municipality. A short walk from the beach leads to the car park, where there are also disabled parking spaces and toilets with drinking water to the north. Along the beach there are tables, benches, shelters and a fire pit for free use, and to the south awaits an area with play opportunities, including a tarzan track.
