Naturstien Horsens Silkeborg | 61 Km Bryrupbanesti, Kort & Den Glemte Bro

The disused railway between Horsens and Silkeborg is now a popular route for cyclists, walkers and horse riders, passing through beautiful landscapes such as lush river valleys, manorial landscapes and beech forests in the hilly Søhøjland. The asphalt pavement on one side ensures easy access for bicycles, wheelchairs and prams, while the gravel pavement on the other side is suitable for horse riders and walkers. A 5 km stretch serves as a railway with vintage trains in the summer. The path is flat and well protected from motorized traffic. Along the route there are primitive accommodation sites with shelters, water and mule toilets, as well as rest areas with tables and benches. Bryrupbanen is part of a network of cycle and walking routes, and is administered by the Norwegian Forest and Nature Agency.
