Experience the beautiful hiking route from Bulbjerg to Tranum – a 46 km long stage of the North Sea Trail. The route follows the dramatic coastline of Jammerbugten, through dune plantations, heather and varied nature. Along the way you will encounter cultural and historical traces from the Stone Age, Viking Age and more recent times, including burial mounds, old roads and ancient monuments. The hike takes approx. 10–11 hours to complete and is marked with the characteristic blue signs with the wave symbol. The Bulbjerg-Tranum section is part of the European North Sea Trail project and is published as an official hiking brochure in collaboration with the North Jutland Region and the Danish Nature Agency.
