Description:
Parking: You can park right at the entrance to Plejerup Langdysse. Note that there is only room for a few cars right at the entrance sign; otherwise you have to drive in to the side. It's a narrow road so it's a bit risky.
Introduction: Plejerup Langdysse rests on a special landscape characteristic called a dead ice landscape. These small hills and depressions occur when a glacier front separates from the underlying glacier and the ice left behind remains as large blocks. The area around the dowel is rich in such dead formations, where clay, sand, gravel and stone are deposited in melting water. This creates a fascinating terrain that elevates the die and its surroundings in a unique geological glow.
As the sun breaks through the clouds and casts its golden light over the landscape, visitors can experience the beauty and tranquility of this special place. History and nature combine harmoniously, and in every corner of Plejerup Langdysse you can feel the breath of the past and marvel at the quiet power of nature.
Geopark Odsherred: Geopark Odsherred has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List due to its unique geological and cultural historical significance. The area represents an example of Ice Age landscapes and includes the dammed Lammefjord, which has been crucial for human settlement and activity over the centuries. Odsherred's geological formations and landscapes provide a deep insight into the history of the Earth and its influence on life in the region. The placement on the UNESCO World Heritage List recognizes Geopark Odsherred's unique natural heritage and its importance as a cultural and scientific treasure trove.
