Sankt Hans Kirke | Aktiviteter, H.C. Andersens Dåb & Gotisk Kirke

Experience Sankt Hans Kirke in Odense – a Gothic church from the 14th century, located in Sankt Hans Sogn close to Odense Castle in the center of Odense. The church has important historical significance, as the baptism of the fairy tale poet H.C. Andersen was confirmed here in 1805. The former Johannite monastery church contains medieval tombstones and an impressive altarpiece with Carl Bloch's painting of Jesus in Gethsemane.
