Parking/Address: You will find Bitten Røverdatter at the end of Lindevej in Vissenbjerg. There is a parking lot here with space for 10 cars. Go straight into the forest and immediately turn left – you will see her about 50 meters ahead. The nearest address is Børnehaven Skovbrynet, Lindevej 1, 5492 Vissenbjerg, but you have to pass the kindergarten, and then you will see the parking lot right after, at the beginning of the forest. You can also choose to drive to Terrariet Vissenbjerg, Kirkehelle 5, 5492 Vissenbjerg. When you are facing the cemetery, you go up the path to the left. When you reach the top, you will see a lovely lookout post. From here, you turn right and follow the long forest path downwards. The walk to Bitten Røverdatter is almost 1 km long, and in our opinion the most beautiful path if you want to go on a troll adventure and experience Bitten Røverdatter's enchanting forest. There are many other paths to Bitten Røverdatter, but these are the two we have chosen to recommend for now. Fiction: (the beginning of the story is actually fact) In the Middle Ages, the Vissenbjerg robbers lived in the forests around Vissenbjerg and spread fear and terror among travelers, who often chose to take a big detour around the area. The robbers hid in the forest and dug underground passages from which they could surprise unsuspecting passersby. In 1964, the first robber party was held in Vissenbjerg. When my wife was a child, her mother was "robbed" during the party - and her father became something of a scoundrel! (Now fiction) Bitten Røverdatter is part of the new generation of robbers. She thinks more about taking care of nature than about plundering. Where the old robbers stole from travelers, Bitten today "robs" the waste that people throw in the forest. What she finds beautiful, she recycles and wears as jewelry. The rest she gives to Vissen Per, who loves to smoke her trash – in her own strange way. It is no longer gold and silver that tempts the clever robbers – it is clean forest floor and a good conscience. So be careful if you throw trash in the forest – Bitten Robber's Daughter is watching you… and she might rob you for your bad behavior!
