Trolden Finn i Svanninge Bakker | En Kunstnerisk Hyldest til Mytiske Rødder
3.8Based on 24 reviews on Google
Description:
In the heart of Svanninge Bakker is an enchanted place, home to the troll Finn himself. According to the legend, it is Finn who with his cunning hands dug the deep hole where Arreskov Sø rests today. The fertile soil he removed was thrown into the great piles now known as Swanninge Bakker.
As a tribute to this mythical creature, a remarkable sculpture stands in the middle of the hills. The figure of Finn is created from natural branches, carefully arranged on a solid concrete base. This work of art is the result of the collaboration between the sculptor Thorkild Hoffmann Larsen and residents from the Kastaniely institution.
When you want to explore this fairytale landscape, please note that Google Maps refers Finn the Troll through Svanninge Bakker, which may lead you on a major detour. We recommend that you instead take the official entrance to Svanninge Bakker and then use Google Maps for further guidance.
Go exploring and let the troll Finn's spirit guide your steps through Svanninge Bakker, where both history and art are combined in the most beautiful way.
