Troldens Sten | Myter ved Munkens Øje i Munkebjergskovene, Vejle

On the shore of the lake Munkens Eye, just to the left after a small stream, the Troll's Stone rests with a clear handprint. According to legend, the troll from Kirkebakken threw the stone at the monk on Munkebjerg. The lake, which now reflects calmly, was formed when the stone fell next to its target. This place carries the story of a time when humans and wizards met in the borderland between reality and myth. Now you can only see one handprint, while the other is covered in moss. In time, reality will probably erase the legend. The area is perfect for hiking in the Munkebjerg forests or for enjoying an ice cream by the fjord.
