​The Watchmen of Odense invite you on atmospheric evening walks through the city's historic streets from July 1 to August 31, Monday to Friday at 9 p.m. The walk starts in front of Den Gamle Kro at Overgade 23 and lasts approximately fifteen minutes. Along the way, the watchmen share stories and anecdotes from Odense's rich history, from the Viking Age to the year 1900, accompanied by traditional watchmen's songs. These free tours, arranged in collaboration with the Friends of the Watchmen, provide a unique insight into the city's past and the role of the watchmen. On Wednesday evenings, the walk ends with a short watchmen's service in the Church of Our Lady, which adds a special dimension to the experience.
